From a former member

For anyone who would like a sampling of what mind control is like, follow me. There is an excerpt following a teaching found at allathisfeet.com from "How to be Strong in the Storm” .

“Do you remember that big storm we had the other day? We've all been talking about the "tree" analogies and how it was the unbendable trees that didn't survive when the strong winds came. The rigid, the unbendable, and the stiff trees were the ones that were destroyed in the storm.“

Good analogy. We need to be moldable and pliable before GOD. However, given the overall ambience of Indy, everyone of them knows, that this refers not to God, (though on the outside you’d think that, and inside you equate this with God, but in reality it’s Mike and those like him.

“Recently, I was in a situation where a woman was telling some others about some growth she had seen in her life over the years. In the process of talking about this, she shared with everyone a definition of pride which she had found to be very helpful to her in her desire for growth and change.”

It’s all about sharing, you want to have something to share so that you don’t appear to be unspiritual, a fruitless tree ready to be removed.

“The definition she gave was this: Pride is reserving the right for myself to have the final word or the final decision. Reserving for myself "the right" to make the final decision. That was the definition of pride. And, of course, at least three times the scriptures say, "God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble." God is an enemy of the proud. And if pride is "reserving for myself the right to make the final decision"--if that's pride--then there's a whole lot of people who think they are friends with God who are, in fact, enemies of God by His definition.”

Pride is wrong, it’s evil, that is truth. We want to do whatever we can to allow the Holy Spirit to rid our hearts of this. However, in the definition of those words is this…I am wrong and prideful if I don’t agree with something “someone over me in the Lord” (Mike and his clones) says to me. I am incapable of discernment. If I disagree, it’s because I have pride or I’m unbendable, rigid, and stiff. You have disengaged your ability to hear God and to discern, and you have become programmed to think that any doubts, any disagreement is the result NOT of the possibility that Mike and his disciples are wrong, NOT because you could possibly have heard from God, but that YOU have a problem.

“Think about that attitude of being rigid, being proud, being self-centered, and independent and stiff.”

Notice the addition of “self-centered, and independent” into the definition of pride. Now you are prideful if you have an opinion, that’s independence. You are self-centered if you make a decision apart from what Mike and his clones say. If something they say doesn’t sit right with you, you’re self-centered. If they tell you it’s God’s will for you to live a certain place for example, and you try to make the final decision, you are “independent”.

“It is prideful when we live in some compromising sort of life where we make our own decisions, call our own shots, pamper our own flesh, and smile and try to live at the lowest common denominator.”

Now, because you want to please God, you want to be obedient, you are afraid to make your own decisions, call your own shots. You now begin to doubt your God given ability to exercise common sense, critical thinking, decisions. If I do, I am compromising. These are teachings of a constant dripping that etches away at your ability to discern and
HEAR God, THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD.

"What can I do? How can I act? How can I present myself? What are the things that I could say or participate in that will allow me to "slide by" so that nobody will be able to see anything wrong in me? Or at least if they say anything to me, I'll be able to let it roll off my back. How can I get by with the least amount of self-sacrifice or crucifixion of self-life, or crucifixion of my needs, my rights, or my time, or whatever it happens to be?”

Listen to how they suck the very being out of you so you will be conformed to the groups image. They become lord of your needs, your rights, your time, or whatever it happens to be.

“If we have those attitudes, Jesus said that the storms will come. And when those storms come, if we're not building on the rock of obedience to God, but rather on the sand of getting by, then we will be uprooted and there won't be any fruit. The one year is up, and the thing is cast into the fire.”

Now the equation of how if you doubt in your heart and soul what you are being told, if you have questions as to why they are telling you something, your questions, your doubts, it must be the self life and you are not building on the “rock of obedience to God”. Obedience to Indy = obedience to God. If you don’t like what you are being told, you are just getting by, and you are in danger of being uprooted, they’ll ask you to leave, You’re in danger of hell.

The conditioning is there. And this is just a tiny sample of the daily diet you receive, until they have chipped away at your very core. You have no personality left, no originality.

There was a small, brief thought that a guy shared to the people there via telephone message. The theme was “What would you do with your freedom?” (incidentally, if we are FREE in Christ, why would there be a message about “being free”) It’s just more of that “conditioning of the mind” to think like they want you to think. I don’t believe they do it on purpose, but Satan uses it to bring you under control and render you ineffective for God’s purposes. Anyway, he tells how he was thinking about what would he do if he could do anything he wanted and no one would say anything to him. What would he “default” to? Would he shop till he dropped, watch television, etc., etc., etc,. And ending it with, what would YOU do with your freedom, what will you do today? So now, if you have any thoughts of leaving or moving, which no one makes that decision without being made to feel like they are leaving God, you are AFRAID of the freedom, you can’t trust yourself, you’ll go off the deep end, so you stay out of fear. if you leave what will happen? I can’t make it outside the group. I need them for my salvation. A women of elite stature had a message to share about envisioning God’s hands on their side with the palm ends together, kind of like if you were corralling a hamster in your hands that you didn’t want it to get away, and you also didn’t want to squish it. So they are open slightly. Picture God’s children inside the walls of those hands, those hands of God’s and everyone was happy and safe, but there was this one child who kept looking at the opening, and kept getting closer and closer until it was outside the walls where it could be attacked and killed. There were many discussions and illustrations about wanting to get out. Why is that? Why would that be common thread in this group? It’s because they make it difficult to live for God, because it isn’t HIS way, it’s their way. “Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples, saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses; therefore all that they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds; for they say things and do no do them. They tie up heavy burdens and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them with so much as a finger” (Matt.23:1-4).

This is the workings of mind control and conditioning. Which is also why you probably won’t see any warnings on any of his web pages about factnet, or Indianapoliscult. He wouldn’t want to alert his potential readers of his material to anything that would halt their following in his footsteps. They might hear the truth; he would be even further exposed. He probably doesn’t allow anyone in Indy or Columbus know of these sites because something might resonate within their hearts and the scales would fall from their eyes and they would see truth and pursue it. He has to control the information that people receive. Someone wrote a letter to the group in Indy trying to expose the false teaching, and everyone was instructed not to read it. How can they examine everything carefully if their leader hides everything from them lest they think for themselves. I know countless “leaders” who would allow people to examine things for themselves and allow for questions if it would cause anyone to doubt their character or gifting. That’s because they don’t have anything to hide and nothing to loose. If your conscience is clear, you can risk it.
